What issues can counselling and hypnotherapy help with?
I work mainly with women who appear to be coping well on the outside, but feel anxious, self doubting or under constant pressure internally.
Counselling and Hypnotherapy can help with:
Anxiety.
Low self-esteem.
Overthinking.
People pleasing.
Relationship difficulties.
Feeling disconnected from yourself.
If something in your life feels heavy or stuck, it’s worth exploring.
This is my first time going to therapy, what can I expect in a first session?
Feeling unsure before your first session is completely understandable and very common.
We will take the time to get to know each other, and I will invite you to share what has been going on for you at your own pace.
There is no pressure to know exactly what you want to work on. We can figure that out together over time.
Can I claim money back from my health insurance provider?
At the moment, I don’t work directly with health insurance providers.
If this is something you would like to talk through, please feel free to ask during a consultation.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number; it depends on what you are working through and what feels right for you.
Many clients notice positive changes within the first few sessions. We can work together as long as you want and need.
We will begin with weekly sessions for 4 weeks, and then review. You can decide to come weekly or biweekly at that stage.
How does hypnotherapy work?
Hypnotherapy involves guided relaxation that helps calm your nervous system and access deeper patterns beneath conscious thought.
You remain aware and in control the whole session. Many people describe it as a deeply focused, relaxed state.
When used, hypnotherapy supports the counselling work, and helps changes settle more fully in both mind and body.
Will I lose control during hypnosis? Will I be asleep?
No, you won’t lose control, and you won’t be asleep.
You remain aware and in control the whole time. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and nothing happens without your consent.
Do you work in the evenings and weekends?
I offer late afternoon/evening appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday, for both counselling and hypnotherapy in Cork and online.
The latest slot is at 19h.
I work some Saturdays, please get in touch, and we can discuss availability.
Do you work with kids?
I work with adults only (18+).
Can I have a session online?
Yes, I am using Google Meet for online sessions.
